As the Art Director for the 2019-20 academic year, I had the privilege of overseeing the design and production of The Gateway, the University of Alberta's official student publication. As part of my role, I was responsible for commissioning visuals and providing art direction for all the illustrations and images featured in our monthly student magazine.

The vision for The Gateway was to create a distinctive visual experience for our readers that could only be realized in print. With each issue, I aimed to be ambitious and use a conceptual approach to visual storytelling. This involved pushing the boundaries of typography experimentation across all eight issues, elevating the visuals, and effectively communicating the essence of each story.
